Cavendish or Greipel?

Of course it's too early in the season, but they have raced individually or together enough times to get a good idea of .... who is faster? So let's hear it! :)

I don't even know who the other guy is, but Cav is the man to beat regardless.

I've got this appreciation for Greipel, but it's really hard to say. It'll be much easier to see since Greipel is on Omega-Pharma now, so we could possibly see a duel between the two.

If you ask me, I would say Greipel, even though i wouldn't be surprised if cHav would slay him on the tarmac.

But I noticed that the term for Cav on the poll is "Cav is a rocket!", I would say no.. That's Robbie McEwen aka "Pocket Rocket" and my fav sprinter.

I like both of them, but there had to have been a reason Cav kept getting chosen for the "A" races and Greipel got the leftovers. I do hope Greipel can beat Cav head to head a couple times and keep the rivalry alive, though. I'm looking forward to the TDU, even if it is just one race and very early in the season.

I think Cav is a bit stronger later in the season when he is at peak condition. But Greipel seems to do better in the shorter early season tours. If history is an indicator I would vote for Greipel at the TDU. It's going to be interesting to find out. CAV is much more emotional and his state of mind effects his performance a great deal. Greipel will beat Cav early season unless Cav is physically and mentally prepared. At the TDF I don't think Greipel will be as strong as Cav. One thing is for certain. Cav has a fighting spirit like almost no other bike racer. Once he gets in his zone, I don't think Greipel can challenge him. Nor anyone else if the sprint is a long non blocking sprint. A few guys are faster than him for 20-30 meters but I don't think any sprinter can hold his top speed for the distance Cav can. I have noticed that he often just out endures his sprint companions and they can't hold on to his speed as long as he does.
