I'm slowly inching closer and closer to the bottom. The place I know best..

Thank heavens I took a screen shot of the brief time I was in the lead . The new leader has used the superpowers of Phillipe Gilbert to relegate me to also-ran... However, it's nice to see a fellow Cadel backer doing so well .

Romain Feillu FT2nd! He's leading my team in scoring. Now if only Contador would score some points.

Good thing I converted Feillu and Rojas into more marquis, brand name sprinters by picking cheaper climbers.
Tyler paid off as long as he stays on it. However, after today, Petachhi is dead to me.
P.S., I just checked nrtoone, I'm in 4th there with "Where's the Beef?" Woo hoo! Behind a couple of sprinter-centric teams that will fade soon, and a perennial powerhouse that'll be tough to hang onto. Fingers crossed. It is a seething, dark, angry peloton just behind.

I used my joker on Gilbert today. How the hell didn't he win a stage like that on his birthday?

Kevin / scc99 - looking pretty hard and unassailable up there at the moment. Good on you, top 50 of >11,000 in the league! I thought the inevitable meltdown for Cadel was coming today, but good on him too for getting it back together. My fingers are crossed, though.

As far as the race goes, Thor hauled his gigantic Scandinavian buttocks up there like a hero and was absolutely robbed of the silly Road ID ride of the day thing that seems to go uncreatively to the winner every day. I cannot forgive Gilbert for either the silly dye job or for letting today slip away to the GC boys.

I also have Brajkovic, and it's not like I was doing well with him in the race. My team's chances remind me of a story about the 1960s Mets. On Opening Day, the Mets' pitcher's first pitch was a ball, and a fan held up a sign that said "Wait 'til next year."

I'm doing the NBC Sports one. Ditched Brajkovic at the last minute luckily (not to be insensitive, hope he heals up ASAP).
For Radioshack in general, since Johan friggin' Bruyneel doesn't even know who to pick, I decided I shouldn't either, so I just skipped out on the four of them all together.

I improved my position today...from around 6,000 all the way down to 4,622nd! Woot!

I just keep sliding, 8, 6, 9, 10 , 12.... I thought Gilbert was going to pull it out for me at the last minute. He's the only thing keeping me in this.

Did I miss the crash and abandon of Petacchi, too? Oh! No, there he is, still riding, just a little glimmer of a day-glo bike here and there until a few K before the finish when he disappears. Thank God I went with the wily old veteran over Rojas, at the cost of downgrading one of my climbers for the extra 8 Velobuck$.
Maybe he and Tyler were out of breath from doing lots of scheming about how they're going to win the next few days.

Gilbert helped some folks today. Not me, but definitely some others <G>.
In our family league, my Dad traditionally picks all the Norwegians. Guess who's almost impossible to live with today?

Wow, of the four radioshack leaders, the only one still in the thing is NOT on my team...

Now that Wiggo and Levi are out of it, I just need Cavendish and Gilbert to win every stage from here on!

Finally Petacchi pays off! I was a bit worried that he wasn't even racing this year.
Having Cavendish helps too
