How Much and How Many?
How much sleep do these guys get a night? and how many water bottles does each team go though, i feel like they are chucking them to the side constantly.

In the Tour du Suisse I believe they were instructed to cut down on the road side litter.
I'm sure they get as much sleep as they can but if they're carrying an injury this may hamper a riders sleep.
190 riders left so x by 4 at least = hundreds of bottles for little French kids to collect and re-sell on every stage.

There's a great documentary on the tour that shows all the behind the scenes stuff like what happens when they go back to the hotel. Netflix has it on watch now: Hell on Wheels

Watching the Michelob LA commercials you wonder if the professionals even get to do any of that stuff. A tough life indeed!

They usually drink 1-4 bottles per hour depending on the heat, humidity, etc. They usually sleep 2 hours for every hour they raced, so usually 9-11 hours a night. Obviously that is hampered by injuries, how tough the stage was, getting up to pee, etc and I doubt they actually sleep the whole time they are in bed.

I remember hearing a water bottle number somewhere that was like 40,000.
Just using 150 riders at 3/hr = 450/hr
If you figure the peleton uses 450 bottles/hr x 4 hrs/day = 1800/day x 21 days = 37,800, so that 40K number is probably pretty close.
