FRAUDBYTES: What Do I Have Against Lance?

What Do I Have Against Lance?

I was told by a friend that someone asked him what I have against Lance. Maybe others have also wondered that. Before I get to that, let me comment on some other news in pro cycling.
First, you probably know that Jan Ullrich was finally sanctioned for and admitted to blood doping as a pro cyclist. VeloNation and other news outlets reported yesterday that Jan has apologized for his mistake. To this I say: "Great job Jan! Way to quit living the lie!! I hope you go on to have a life filled with peace and joy!"

I really don't care who doped and who didn't. I'm also not nearly interested enough to have waded through much of that steaming pile. It's enough for me to hate Lance because he's an A-hole.

I read 2 paragraphs and clearly got his point. He's an accounting professor giving his opinion about doping in sports by taking a cheap shot at arguably one of the best riders ever and he praises an admitted doper? Holy smokes, what's next? Is someone going to post they completely agree with him right after this post? Dogs and cats man. Dogs and cats. Cheers

I don't think a philosophy based on truth and honesty is a good fit for a sports fan, and certainly it isn't a good fit for a competitor. Its not hard to enjoy the sport and appreciate the history and beauty of it without getting into arguments over purity and "Truth"...they aren't saving the world, or healing the sick, or guiding us toward the light, they're just racing their bicycles. Everybody wants to win the races and rules get broken here and there, and the officials keep after it pretty well, but its just a sport after all.

If its not fun, or not fun to watch, for heaven's sake do something else!

A Freakin Men! Ive now decided This should win for POTY, well said, totally agree. Sad the Armstrong fanboys cant/ wont accept this. To them, there is no "proof he ever doped", despite evidence & common sense to the contrary(as listed above). But Im afraid, like Lance himself, they cant, nor wont accept that either. Theyll go to their graves(despite injecting their own opinions agreeing that he did infact dope). Ive said from the beginning that I wish hed just come out & admit that he did it, is that so difficult? Apparently so. Shame, Ill go on record as saying, IF the day should come that Lance does infact "come clean" or "admit" it, I, like rhis person/ article says, will once again have respect for Mr. Armstrong. But until that time, he will continue to be VERY LOW on my list of heros.

Wow, with all of your hate w/LA, I am very suprised that he is on your list of heros even if he is on the bottom. Isn't it nice to come out of the closet and say LA is on your list of heros?

Baby steps, remember, it's baby steps.

FTFY

Why yes it is, the "list" he belongs on, suits him well I think.

I was actually speaking sarcastically, when I said that. Hate to disappoinf you but, Mr. Armstrong isnt on any hero list of mine& certainly wont be anytime soon. Hes no "hero" to me, hes a CHEATER!.

Mr Armstrong, aka the cheater, joins a list of other non heros on my list.

Cheaters arent heros imo, maybe they are to folks like yourself, but not to me. No "baby steps" needed, hes not my heros list, sorry to.disappoint. Definitely on my POS list ( along w/several others),but no heros list. Those lists are for people like you, makes things easier that way.

PS, please save the redundant " you.have no proof he doped" or my favorite, the " I dont care either way whether he doped or not...blah blah blah" responses, we all know if you "didnt care", you wouldnt have responded? Nice to see youre back from Hawaii, the cheater really enjoyed your support Im sure. His lawyer says the checks in the mail.

You come up with excuses like sarcasum but it is ok. Most of us read about your disapproval of LA since it appears that it is the main topic of your life, but some of us believe you really like him. Now that we all know he is on your list of Hero's [although low], we now have proof you are a closet LA fan. The evidence is in your post. Maybe a new name, ClosetLAFanForever [has a nice ring to it don't you think].

But I am willing to bet your next post will say how much you admire him. Remember, it is opposite Tuesday so whatever you write is the opposite. Starts at 6:54 am PST

Seriously? Your vote for POTY goes to a diatribe that in essence says that it is OK to cheat for years, earn lots of money off of it, deceive fans, family, friends and sponsors and possibly teammates so long as you "come clean" and admit to it once you can no longer cover up your lies? Nobody is going to praise LA if/when he ever admits to doping so why should Jan or anyone else be praised? Find me someone with no suspicion of doping against them that comes out to admit to cheating and I'll give them some credit. Anyone who admits to cheating only when their cover-up fails is just paying the price.

Hey, maybe they need two TDF categories. One is an anything goes cat. Another is clean and subject to verification via testing. Violation of not being clean, while racing in the clean cat would include a lifetime ban. Period no exceptions.

As for the anything goes cat, anything as in blood doping, steroids, or any other performance enhancement one could come up with. Some people might die. Okay, their choice if they wish to risk it. Would be a more honest event at the least.

Want to guess which winner, clean or anything goes, would get more acclaim, money, publicity, prestige? Okay, we know the answer to that. So make it simple. Stop testing, and make it simply anything goes. Then you have a truly honest event.

Otherwise, everyone is just guessing.

Guess what, there is far more to cycle racing than the TDF.

If Armstrong went for the all around badass of the year, as LeMond did, doping or not, then I'd consider him for the list of greatest. Without his team or the sportmanship of Ullrich, LA would be a 3-peat at best. But only focusing on one grand tour each year and being considered great is a joke.

After winning his 1st TdF Lemond only finished 2 other grand tour events and that was in 39th and 105th. Badass of the year?

oh that's right LeMond only competed for that one and only year, thanks for setting me straight.

Only two other grand tours? How many grand tours are there each year?
