Soft?

Brabantse Pijl
Schleck crashes 70km out - struggles to regain peloton, gets dropped on a hill, bags the last 3 circuits of the race to DNF.

Pre-race attitude - "It's an important test," Schleck said. "I'm here to get good kilometres done. It's a hard race. It's my first Classic. It's going to be a race in a strong peloton so I want to see where I stand today."

Post-race attitude - ? (suggestions - I'm too cold, It's too wet, I'm too soft)

Paris-Roubaix
Hushovd crashes in the biggest classic just as Boonen goes. What does he do?

“I knew right away that the race was over for me,” he told aftenposten.no. “So I rode in pure defiance.” He finished 14th. Not bad for a 'race that was over'.

Note the (subtle - ha) difference in attitude, professionalism, sheer determination.

One is a World Champion, Green jersey winner, etc. etc.

The other makes a career finishing second (Giro and a few Tours).

Me thinks it isn't the body Andy. Just the brain. Get your head screwed on right and harden up!:notamused:

Strictly speaking, Schleck has won a Tour de France.

Seriously. Even I could get second in a couple of Giro and Tours and I'm softer than the Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man.
