How many books will Tyler sell?

How many books would Tyler sell if he just said, "I never saw anybody do anything, but would you like to know my life story?"

Didn't Floyd write a book detailing his innocence after winning his tour? Does he profit in a whistleblower suit if more people take an interest in doping?

I'm just sayin....

If Tyler has any desire to be part of the solution and make some amends for being part of the problem, what do you propose that he do?

If you cant sell on your story or writing ability then all you are selling is sensationalistic garbage.

im just sayin...

Daniel Coyle can write. In fact he wrote what's probably the best book ever about Lance Armstrong, and one of the all time best cycling books. I'm just sayin'

Write an essay and make it free to read on the internet.

If his book somehow makes it into Barnes & Noble, I will scan through it in the bookstore but sure as hell am not paying money for it.

I have to admit I'm the confused by the 'if it somehow makes it into B&N" comment. As if you imagine this might be an obscure book. This is going to a best seller for certain, and it was released early at many B&N over the weekend in NYC.

Who reads an athlete's book for pure writing ability? We all want to know the dirt. If he's telling the truth (I see why people have their doubts), it's not necessarily sensationalism.

Meanwhile, I'd rather have Tyler name names and tell the full story than read another book like David Millar's. There was a lot of good stuff in Millar's book, but he seemed hesitant to name everybody and I got the feeling that he was only telling half of the story.

I'm looking forward to the book. Like every book, you have to consider who's writing it and read it with a critical mind. Even Floyd's book and Lances books have their moments of truth where you can learn a little something.

Frankly I have no idea how popular or obscure his book is/will be. Sorry if my indifference confuses you.

If it does end up being a best seller, good for him. Enough idiots bought Floyd Landis' crappy book(s) that Tyler should get a piece of the pie as well.

Missed the disinterest and mistook it to mean the book would sail to the cut out bins.

I'm certainly looking foward to getting my own copy. I can't imagine any fan of cycling missing this one, to be honest.

I just have a problem with the idea that Lance is being taken down by a bunch of people who stand to profit by telling the "truth" when they aren't the most reliable sources. Is it that much of a stretch that Floyd would be less than honest if it helps win some sort of whistleblower payout? Would Greg LeMond stretch the truth a bit if it put Lance in a bad light? Do most Americans even know who Tyler Hamilton is? Doesn't the US Anti-Doping group have to find a doper to justify their own existance? It seems like a great deal of "if/then" statements being pieced together in a way that gets to the conclusion you started out with in the first place. If you are going to take down America's best known rider, who was responsible for one of the greatest feats in all sports, shouldn't you have a smoking gun instead of smoke and mirrors?

That doesn't really hold water if it turns out Sheryl Crow, his ex-wife, best friend and a host of former teammates all confirmed the stories.

7 wins, no failed tests

I won't base my opinions on "consistent with doping" what kind of legalese b.s. is that?

As if it's a matter of opinion.

So I hear. I'll be getting a copy of his latest effort in a few days, after which I'll decide for myself.

After reading some articles re: the contents of the book, I may have changed my stance on this. Perhaps I'll be picking up the book after all.

Read the book, make up your own mind. I bought an e-reader version from B&N, and have finished about half. It paints a pretty ugly picture of the whole professional cycling world. To even finish with the main group, you had to be doping. What's not clear is if things are any better today, or they're just better beating the tests.

So if they were all doping, doesn't that make Lance the winner of all those races?

Amazon is currently ranking the book at #16 in their top 100, so someone must be buying it.
