Pro cycling. Sagan, like him or dislike him?

He's been burning up the pro scene since his wheelie in the Gent-Wevelgem race and now this.

I think they should replace podium girls with podium boys.

Lol

I think they should show the ladies races and do just that for their podium winners.
That's just savvy marketing for the sport.

he's an entertaining rider...
btw, the podium 'girl' looks rather calm for having been "assaulted"

Used to like him. Wanted him to win on Sunday. But this stuff is just adding up, and all of them are dings.

I think Steve Tilford said it best: "Peter Sagan resorted to ass grabbing, after getting his ass handed to him/spanked by Fabian Cancellara at the Tour of Flanders yesterday. I happened upon the uproar of this all and thought it was just a childish joke by a guy that obviously like to showboat. But, after looking at some of the photos and finding the picture below of his taste of t-shirts, I’d have to say that the dude wasn't raised correctly."

I can see becoming the villain in the pro peloton. They guy some people love to see win because he's the bad boy, and the guy other people hate to see win because he has no class or deference for the race or his competitors.

I wouldn't want to be his buddy, and I think he lacks some class, but he's a great bike rider.

I really like him for all the fun things he does, not to mention that He's an excellent rider. My favorite moment is when he had a bell installed during the Tour De Suisse (i think)

Hmmmm... Not the first from him. Last year a rather "blessed" girl in tight leopard-print blouse asked him for an autograph and he signed her chest - well below the collarbone. Possible argument "his Mother saw it" will not hold - dude is well within rural Eastern Europe code of conduct. Problem is he refuses to grow up or adapt to his surroundings, which actually makes me question his intelligence, his REAL intelligence.

In other words, another classless, taste-challenged cretin who can ride fast on bicycles. This is what it is shaping out to be.

Stay tuned until the next gauche move.

I would think that he would show more class and respect on the podium. I may be old school, but this just doesn't sit well with me.

I'm getting a visual here that's going to lead to abolishing the whole scheme, lol.

I used to not like him (thought he was "artificially" good for as young as he is), but I'm warming up to him. There is a LOT of hate going his way over this incident, seems a little over the top to me. It's *almost* as disrespectful to Cancellara as it is the girl, but it's certainly not going to make or break my opinion of him. People have to remember he is still just a 23 year old kid. How many horndog jocks did we all know in college? Yes, I know, it's different because he's a professional, but he's still a kid. Most of his antics are harmless, like his victory celebrations and such, maybe he took it a little too far this time.

Oh, but his shirt was hilariously awful. That's something a 18 or 19 year old boy wears, not a man.

You said it well.

While we must admit these presentation ceremonies are rather cheesy, riders and hostesses have played their roles on the podium with good humor and dignity--until this stunt.

I don't mind the celebration or the goofy attitude, I think that would work even with a less talented rider. But this kind of stuff is disrespectful.... Not cool.

I wonder how many of you, who think that Sagan's behavior is awesome or cool, would say the same if it was your daughter's arse being pinched.
