Martin only 80seconds slower than his team of 6?

I am just a bit confused on how One main- Tony Martin- can ride 58km in 1:05:36 and his team of six, very skilled TT, takes 1:04:16? Wouldn't you think big gains could be made especially over 58km with six men, and only the 4th man taking time? What accounts for this?

You always ride slower when you're pulling a trailer.

Seriously, that is amazing if so. Was it exactly the same route? Wind a factor?

Does anyone know Tony's speed for the ITT?

I do think it's a bit crazy how close his individual TT is to the TTT though.

Was is under the exact same conditions? Many things will affect your speed on a bike: wind, temperature, road surface, hills, air pressure, rain...

I don't care what the conditions are. Unless it's all down hill or a favorable tailwind the entire route, 33 MPH for 40 miles is phenomenal.

Well, no, it's not your point. It's mine. I guess that's not allowed?
