So what do you think was the best or most memorable moment in this Tour?

For me, it was the opening stage. Seeing Cavendish go down in a stage he was sure to win, or supposed to win, or at least be oh so close, he simply blew his big moment - and he knew it. Coming to the line, he was trailing and he seemingly had no opening, so he pulled a super aggressive move by trying to push another rider out of the way, not unheard of for sure, but it was the most blatantly aggressive and desperate move I have ever seen pulled by a sprinter, and he tumbled in a mess.

A shocking start to a tour with a lot of shocking moments...

There were many. Tony Martin soloing for the win, then next day setting the pace for Kwiatkowski was pretty epic. Dude's a monster rider.

Lots, the crowds in Yorkshire, the cobbles, Nibali attacking 9km out on the Hautacam, Nibali on the podium with the Italian anthem playing. Funniest was that girl losing her phone on stage 18 and the guy in Yorkshire who had a phone batted out of his hand by a rider while taking pictures.

Yup. Nibbles on the Cobbles. He was just floating over them like an ice skater. Utterly phenomenal performance. If Lars Boom had won a stage in the Pyrenees I couldn't have been more impressed.

Not my most memorable moment but perhaps one for the ladies as Nibali stands on the podium with an obvious hard on going up the front of his pants. Guess he wanted to reinforce the Italian myth.

Nibali on the cobbles with Fulsang pulling him was a spectacular show of bike handling teamwork and strategy. That was a brilliant attack.

I've only gotten to see highlights thus far but I was stoked at Navardauskas win in stage 19. Good to see a Garmin rider salvage a stage win......And thank you Peter Sagan

1. Majka's performance in Alpes and Pyrenees. For Polish people it was really special as the only Polish stage win was 21 years ago.
2. Crashes. I can't help it but think "what if", two of the four best stage racers in the world crashed out, one was not in the race anyway and winner of the Dauphine (one of the strongest looking "outsiders" for podium) also forced to abandon.
3. Nibali. What a weird turnaround, a guy who seemed to be struggling since the beginning of the season (compared to his early season performances in previous years) wins the Tour by almost 8 minutes and becomes one of the six riders in history to win all three GTs.
4. The amazing fighting spirit of the guys who crashed - Contador, Talansky, Machado.
5. Nibali's attack on Hautacam.
6. Tony Martin being awesome.
7. Sagan failing to win a stage (was feeling sorry for him during last sprint stages).
8. Tinkoff Saxo showing Sky what team spirit is about.
9. Richie Porte showing he's a s***ty GC contender.
10. Navardauskas' stage win.
11. Oh, I forgot. Should be somewhere near the beginning. The cobbled stage, best Tour stage I've seen in quite some time. (The route was really well designed this time, by the way.)

1. Nibali attacking on stage 2 when no one expected it.
2. Tony Martin's win on stage 9 (redemption for last time he tried that).
3. Tony Martin's power ride TT.
4. Jack Bauer's near miss.
5. Nibali's win on stage 10 in the mountains.
6. Valverde riding back into contention after near-bonking in the mountains and then taking a few seconds on his rivals. (Stage 13)
7. Michael Roger's epic victory.

The crowds in Yorkshire and Tony Martin's win on stage 9. I lived in Harrogate in the 80s and it was really nice to see them racing into town on roads I once rode on.

1. Peter Sagan's hands free wheelie on an 11% grade finish after 7 categorized climbs.
2. Resurgence of French Cycling. They may have a tour winner in the next couple of years.

This for me. The way some riders just handle the cobbles is just amazing to me. Nibali has always been a great bike handler and it paid dividends this day. Heard a lot if complaining but then there were riders like Gerraint Thomas that said it really wasn't that bad. Not a fan of Sky in general but that guy is a great team rider.

Can't imagine if they had ridden the two toughest sectors as planned.

It may be a little contrived but days like this and the days the Giro has gone on to Strade Bianci are flat out the most entertaining days to me.

Also enjoyed the day to Hautacom. Horner taking a dig, Nibali having none of it and putting a stamp on the Tour. TJ rebounding and working with Pinot, Peraud hanging on for dear life while Bardet and Valverde fought from behind.

Not a positive moment, but the most memorable for me...the "at the line" loss for Bauer on stage 15. It was so close and see him overtaken with only a few meters left was heart rending to watch!

Not a huge Contador fan, but to see him after the crash was pretty memorable. It was obvious on pretty short order he would abandon and that left the opening for all sorts of great racing.

Talansky gutting it out to finish his last stage, and Contador trying to continue on a broken tibia.

You have to hand it to riding on sheer guts alone.

+1 to both of these, especially the latter.

For me, watching Froome crash in stage 4, but then the double crash on stage 5. Leading up to the Tour, I was hyping up stage 5 to be a great stage. It turned out to be interesting, not all for the best of reasons. Froome forced out wasn't great, but Nibali's riding over the cobbles was inspiring.

Everything Tony Martin did as well. My favorite race wins are when riders TT to the line. Watching Martin hold off a peloton to win a stage was awesome and then follow it up with another day of pace setting. I couldn't help but wish the line was 20 meters earlier for Bauer's sake. Reminds me of Phinney's stage win in the Tour of Poland, except Jack had been out front a LOT longer than Phinney.
