Rear Brakes: The Weakest Link on the Professional Stage Racer's Bike

When will they design a rear brake that isn't constantly coming out of adjustment? As I watch stage races on TV it's always the rear brake that has come out of adjustment and needs a team mechanic to lean out of the window and readjust as the rider hangs on to the car.

Never the front brake. Odd since it's the front brake on my recreational bike that does all the work. My rear brake remains in adjustment for years at a stretch.

Maybe something's wrong with the angle. They come out of adjustment more often when the road tilts upward.

Sometimes I think the rear brake has some mechano-human sympathetic link that causes the rear brake to slack off whenever it feels its rider is having a rough day.

I want to see the Trek team or someone else with an under-the-bracket setup getting their rear brakes adjusted on the fly.

Giada Borgato's rear brake seems to hold up well but her mechanic seems to adjust the nose of her saddle quite often.

They aren't adjusting anything. Ever notice how the rider is getting a free ride with his hand on the door. Its like getting an extended bottle tow.
