Cycle Shorts
Where can a 6 foot 315 pound Clydesdale find cycling shorts?

I give up, where can a 6 foot 315 pound Clydesdale find cycling shorts?
But, if I was looking, I know that Performance Bikes has several of their own brand of cycle shorts that go up to size 44-46. I would imagine that even a 48 waist could probably fit into them. Is that large enough? |
Nashbar shorts have an XXXL that fits a 50 waist. Kuchiark (sp) has big men's sizes and are very HQ.

Need measurements, not weight.

Spandex is wonderful - as long as you don't worry about giving the general public a visual treat. It is very stretchy and forgiving. Try to get flat seams - they rub less. And gel padded seats can help till the first few lbs come off.

DieselDan, what is HQ?

I wear my bike shorts under moisture wicking sweats. The sweats hide a lot. Most virtual stores give a inch cross reference for sizes. If not email them for exact numbers. |
Performance had some on sale this week for $29.99. I use the liquid cell escalante (sp? ) shorts which have worked well. your might try the gel' lycra underwear which I believe is in your size. Just add a good pair of shorts and enjoy the ride! good riding and I hope all goes well. SLW

Take it from me, Forget the shorts and get some bibs. More comfortable for us big folks with no rolling and bunching at the waistband. Both Nashbar and Performance have some good bibs that are not that much more expensive than their shorts.

www.velowear.com has shorts and bibs in large sizes (up to XXXL).
