No kids, but my wife and I have ridden together since early 90's (mostly mtn.biking). We did buy decent road bikes in '06 (mainly because we moved and the trail systems were not as plentiful). Celebrated 33yrs on our last anniv, and still riding, so just might be something to that!

I love riding with the family. Have a trailer for my son, but hopefully this year he will be able to ride on his own.

The COVID--19 lockdown gave my kids and me ample opportunity and time for rides together.

Today, they both went on their longest rides ever, about 12.5 miles, which we covered in three hours. It included a stop at the natural food store, where I paid 12 bucks for two chocolate bars (!), a long stop at a gazebo during a rain shower, a snack break at a 100-something-year-old church, an encounter with a baby rat snake, and some gravel trail riding involving some mud. They had a blast!

We all can't wait for their geared bikes to arrive in October. I'm looking forward to many long rides together.

My young daughter asked to go on a long ride this afternoon. We went 13 miles, with her on her heavy Walmart bike with 16" tires. When she gets that 20" Woom 4 in a couple months, she'll really be able to move.

Drafting off my daughter.

Really feeling the love in this thread. My dad got me into riding when I was a kid. I'll never forget those days. Now that I'm home again with my parents because of the whole covid thing I'm trying to get my mom into riding with me. She's coming around to it.
