My ride on Saturday
I've been commuting into work 2-3 times a week trying to build my stamina and leg strength back up for my recreational riding. I ride whenever I can, though I'm father to a wonderful little 18 month year old who takes a lot of my time up, so I've little time for solo recreational riding. I have a trailer which I use to take her out with me, too - but I enjoy solo rides too (not to mention I don't trust cage drivers around my daughters trailer much).
This Saturday I did about 68k (42.3miles on my computer) while serving a couple of errands around the city, and I'm proud of it, so I'm posting the (crudely marked) route that I did.

I ride an MTB, and though the riding time was only around 3 hours 27 minutes it was a pretty decent ride.
Just had to share this.. I have a goal right now of being able to commute into work (15 mile round trip with some good ups and downs) everyday and not being wiped. I don't know why this seems so meagre to me now - the effect of the wind / hills and a work day seem to really take it out of me on the ride home... I'll get there, though Eventually I want to ride some much longer distances, culminating in a dream of cross country riding.
