Can anyone tell me if this is a good bike?
I found this Motobecane on Craigslist today and I have no idea if it's a good bike. Does anyone have any clues for me? Here is the link: https://charlotte.craigslist.org/bik/281581057.html
Thanks!

If you have to ask, you shouldn't be trying to buy a bike off the Internet.

There are two different levels of Motobecane. The older ones were a well respected bicycle brand. The newer ones use the name, but are a totally different company. They are not bad bikes, but they are not great bikes. I would guess that pink cruiser is one of the newer ones. They are manufactured in Taiwan or China to be sold as Wal-Mart or lower end LBS bikes. Since the bike you are looking at is a single-speed cruiser, there isn't a whole lot to go wrong with it. Don't commit to buy sight unseen. Spin the wheels and see if the bearings feel smooth, check the tires for cracks, and generally look for any unusual signs of wear. I think the asking price is high for a used bike of that type. If you like the bike and everything seems good, offer the seller $50 and bargain from there.
Good Luck!

i think it's ok depending on what you intend to use it for. and i second the motion of offering $50 and going from there.

It's probably all right as a starter bike, and if you don't plan to ride it too far at one go, but if you plan on riding anything over 5 or 6 miles, you will discover it's not much fun. It's a singlespeed, so if you have any big hills in your area, you will find it hard to get up the hills on this bike.
Start at $50, and stay firm.
