Anybody know anything about Kuwahara bicycles?

I bought a Kuwahara T-01 Caravan today at the Salvation Army for $14.96. It is just like new. Anybody know anything about these bikes?

Yes, a co-worker of mine at the bike shop I worked at part-time had a late '70s Kuwahara road bike. He was into BMX but he used this bike just as a beater for transportation.

It wasn't anything to brag about but it was fairly decent quality with okay components, Suntour Honor or something like that, I can't remember exactly.
