Portland Tweed Ride

I did not know about this ride until we accidentally discovered it today. The Portland Tweed Ride.

Man I love this town for all these great little rides.

Ill have to do this up with the family next year - it looks like a lot of fun and a family friendly route!

We recently had one here in Dallas. It was fun. Takes some work to come up with a good outfit for it, though. Up in Denton, Tx, they just had a Denim ride, a good bit easier to work that one.

Chicago's was last weekend. It is fun. This last one was almost a pub crawl to various old english pubs.

Thanks for the link to the photos. I enjoyed looking at photos of all those well-loved bikes and their respective riders. I especially liked the wooden crates built by the mother with the longtail bike.

What a great organized ride! I love the 11 am start time. It seems that even the casual family-oriented rides around here like to start at 8 am. Too early for me!
