TAB/TrailGator adapter for Xtracycle

I know someone had a link up here before, but for the life of me, I cant find it. Both the Mrs and I have converted our bikes to longframes and our son that was using the TrailGator doesnt need it anymore, but our daughter doesnt want to ride in the trailer/child seat on the shorter rides. We want to move the TG hardware to her bike, but then thinking about it, it wont work with the Xtras.

THis is where I need your help everyone. I know someone has/builds the adapters to attach a TAB/TG to the Flight Deck on an Extra. I could make one myself, but I'm sure I saw a commercially available one. Help?

Something like this, but it needs to just be a post to attach a TAB or TG to the Flight deck.

E, even doing a few google searches only came up with one or two ideas and none of which we commercially available. One was well thought out but requires welding and the other didnt look like it was very stable onthe Xtra. I think I'll try to build a combination of the two and post it up. Once I find the links again for the two builds, I'll post them up.

That is the mount from the Burly Piccolo which I would imagine would be easy to modify to work with the xtracycle. https://www.burley.com/home/bur/page_776/piccolo.html

But not with a trail-gator. For that you really need just a mock seat post. I'd actually be interested in one that would go on a normal rack, too. My little one likes to ride her bike, but also needs to nap after a long day of biking. It would be nice to be able to switch between kid seat and trail-gator, but the rack mount for the kid seat blocks the trail-gator.

I know the mount I posted is for the Burley, but the problem is they dont even sell that mount seperately. It's part of the TAB. SO I'm back to square one and it's looking like I'll be making my own =(

Make one that bolts onto a flight deck, and you could probably sell it!

BTW -- Have you asked about this on the roots radical group? You may get lots of expertise or at least opinions.

I just sold a bracket to a guy in the tandem forum that is for this purpose. https://www.bikeforums.net/showthread...s-Trail-a-Bike
It was basically a machined seat post bolted to an aluminum plate that can be bolted to a rack. The guy that bought it may be able to send you a picture if you want to have one made or try and make one.

Hey, the guy I sold the bracket to decided to sell the bike he was going to use it for, so i suspect he may be willing to sell it. Go to the link in my above post and contact him if you are interested... the bracket worked very well for this purpose and I.d love to see it still getting some use.
