looking for a comfort/hybrid bike for my wife

Since I have gotten back into riding a bike, my wife wants to upgrade to a New bike with some suspension, in the front and for the seat.
I just ordered a Trek shift 4 I am a big Clyde and she is about 145 pounds and 65 yrs young. What bikes should we be looking at for her?

BTW, She want it to have trigger shifters no more twist grip shifters

thanks in advance

She may also like the Trek Shift with a step through frame.

Shift 3 WSD - Trek Bicycle

For a little less money, she could get the Fuji Crosstown with trigger shifters and disc brakes.

Check out the Electra Townie. Front suspension fork, 21 speeds, upright seated position and very comfy.
You could add an after market suspension seat post or a Cane Creek Thudbuster.

Hybrid for the wife

My wife is into mountain cycling but wanted a road (Hybrid) bike also. We looked and looked at different new hybrids...Didn't see one that had good components for the money they were asking.
Finally went to craigslist and found several nice bikes for her to look and and compare. She decided NOT to go for suspension because of the additional weight. Decided on a nice Bianchi with
flat bar, trigger shifters, 700c tires and half the money ($450). All I had to do was get her a new seat.

Just went through the same thing. I assumed she would want a comfort bike with large, thick padded seat. She did, until she compared weights. We ended up with a relatively light weight hybrid, Trek 7.2 FX WSD.

You can choose any one that is best for women. That will be easy and comfortable for your wife.
