Grip tape...anyone use it?
The spousal unit is giving me grief about my cyclist tan. Thanks to riding with gloves, my arms are tan down to my wrists, then my hands are un-tanned.
I'd like to ride without gloves to even things out, but hate the feel of my SRAM X7 shifters with sweaty hands. Which got me to thinking (dangerous territory)...What about putting tennis racquet grip tape on my grips?
Anyone have experience with this? Is it a stupid idea?
Thanks!

The gloves advantage comes to be obvious when you fall, and dont have an emergency room visit
to pick the gravel out of the palms of your hands.
I saw on Cycling News some of the Pros are using sticky back grip tape
on the bars of their time trial Bikes like used on the TdF Day one time trial on July 4th.

You could cut down the sun to your arms by wearing arm protectors like these: Voler: Sol Skin Arm UV Protectors
I wear cheaper REI sleeves.

Go to the Drug store, buy some spray on tan and spray it on your hands. Problem solved!
