A lot like DF riders that have closed minds about bents and trikes.

I long for the day when I don't care if I look and act like a nerd.

Looks like lots of folks posting here are getting bent out of shape by a guy who's bent on spreading his infatuation with 'bent bicycles.

It has very little to do with the design of the bicycle. It has far more to do with the messenger, and his delivery of the message (aka trolling). In short, a bunch of people seem to be telling him to get bent. |

Sounds like a closed mind that will simply not accept anything new.

At this point a good question would be------------------have any of the anti bent posters here actually ridden a bent or a trike for more than 50 miles?

Moved to 'bents from General cycling. We don't allow 'bent evangelism outside of this forum. Sorry I didn't read through it to see if there is any anti-bent bigotry.

Trying to lower the stiff necked resistance to modern alternatives in cycling.
The anti bent crowd reminds me of the sun deck charlies that set around the ski lodge dressed in $1000 of ski clothes, but are never seen on the slopes. Look up the therm “one trick pony.” And we’ve never seen you on or even with any sort of bike or trike. |

The problem with all of your fantasies, like this one, is that they're just that, fantasies. Long distance riders aren't crippled, as you imagine they are after coming off a long day on the bike. Just because you would be destroyed, that doesn't mean that folks share your limitations..

It's one thing to say, "Hey, everybody! I found this new thing that's really great and I wanted to share how much I like it!" and quite another to KEEP SAYING "Hey everybody! I've found this wonderful thing! And if you don't all adopt it, it's because you're closeminded!!!" |

I only ride on paved roads and paths, all my bikes work, and they all feel different.
Which is kind of what I was going for. Tim |
