Numb Ass needs butt mold!:(

My homebuilt bent has a standard wedgie seat. When I get off, my back, my butt and my Johnson are numb. I want to make a seat that follows err...my natural shape. No back rest, just a, say ten by ten, place to park it. I thought of some wet sand in a large salad bowl, but my wife has issues with that idea. There has got to be a better way to make a fiberglass mold. I've got a bath tub! But I'm not that big. Any ideas out there?

Funny you should mention that, an old friend did something of the same thing. It was just explained to me in an Email, so I will try to spit it out again (Email long gone), but this is the basics. Take a wad of clay, roll it out a little wider and longer (an inch should do) than you need. leave it about 2-3 inchs thick depending on how much "depth" you think you need. Sit on it until you get the impression you want. Fill this impression with plaster of paris for a "positive". Use a release agent (pam?) and fiberglass the positive to the shape desired. He did say you maybe able to get away with wet sand instead of clay, but he had a block of clay so used it. I have not seen the results, and this was a couple years ago, but the theory sounds resonable.

MY daughter just finished art courses and there are two 4"X4"X8" bricks of red modeling clay on the drafting table. I paid for them, right?. Thanks for info. Just sit, my kind of job. I'm gonna go now and make an ass of myself. Bye;).

Intereseting ,you say your Johnson was numb as well as your backside.I always thought that recumbents prevented that sort of thing, you know numb nuts and the like.
I wonder if any body else gets a numb Johnson when after riding a recumbent?

I'm getting numb because I'm using a "wedgie" seat on the recumbent. Latest is a large tractor like seat with thick foam and springs, not good. During the weekend we started building the frame for a moulded seat. It will have the usual tilt adjustment and 5 inches "for to aft" adjustment. We also built a frame for a second recumbent. Pic.s in the camera but at the beginning of the roll. It's going to be some time before I get them developed.

I just can't understand why anyone would want butt mold.

Mark my words, you'll have to see the Doctor to get rid of it.
