Fork Selection
 

I am in process of converting my 20" front wheel over to a 700c. Am I safe using standard road forks (I am on an Optima Lynxx), or should I be using a cyclocross fork for extra strength?

Are there any particular forks I should be looking at or avoiding??

Standard road forks should work fine unless you intend off road riding. You will have an increased risk of heel strike in low speed small radius turns with the larger wheel, how much risk depends on your shoe size and crank length. Won't be a problem in ordinary riding though. Change of fork raises possibility of disk brake also if you want
one.
