video- fun at the hilly hundred
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HBV7-h6sIyo
This is the first in a series of short 2 minute clips from various parts on the course at the hilly hundred in Indiana this year.
There are some real good examples of coastdown of lowracer vs other style bikes and climbing ability.
We had near perfect weather this year.

Damn, thats impressive . Makes me want a lowracer right now! The speeds you're getting down those hills are imnpressive too. Great Vid, what camera you using and how are you mounting it?

I love the sound of you riding the brakes to let that guy catch up in the last clip. Nice scenery - looks like a ride I need to do next year. Hopefully I'll have my new lowracer by then, assuming I can sell my baron.

You could sell it to me- how much is postage to Australia ?
On a serious note, last time I saw a Cobra lowracer on this site I decided to build one of similar design. I got as far as a jig and then stopped. Im feeling inclined to pull that jig out and have another crack at it after watching those vids- Thanx Lowracer1

I wish u-tube supported more resolution. The resolution off my setup is way better starting off before u-tube compresses the heck out of it

A short diversion from hilly hundred footage. This is from the 100 grand ride in June this past year.

woah. it's so weird to see the spokes look like they're not moving, yet see you pull away from a group.
How do you have the camera mounted to the fram yet have such a jitter-free image?

Those are really great clips. I would like to save those for the dead of winter when the only riding I'm doing is on my trainer.

ok, so I'll have to admit that some recumbents can't climb. Or is it the engines.

What a laugh! The upright and the first recumbent both had flat tires.

I don't have a low racer, but I love it when I blow pass roadies on their DF bikes. Even the ones that pass me I can keep up with and I always notice them look back at me wondering how I do it.

https://esnips.com/signin/index.jsp gives you 1GB free. The fine print on the sign-up says they own anything you upload, however.

Here's some footage of me riding behind Lowracer1, also at Hilly Hundred (6/9/06.)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XkYa4se3YKk
Of course, no sane upright rider would want to switch to a bent; everyone knows bents can't do hills.
