Recumbent What IS that thing?! Recumbents may be odd looking, but they have many advantages over a "wedgie" bicycle. Discuss the in's and out's recumbent lifestyle in the recumbent forum.

Bent Movie??

I was at my LBS yesterday and someone traveled all the way from the bay area to buy a bent from my guy (This LBS is the best..but I digress). As he was fitting the bike an image of Christopher Walken in the movie Brainstorm came zooming into my brain.

Was that the first movie to feature a recumbent bike? Just wondering.....

No idea but bents were featured in last yrs remake of "The Lathe of Heaven" and I recall a Jackie Chan movie (? early '80s) where he hopped on a bent in Holland and briefly and wobbily rode it. Steve
