Need Comparison: Several Sun EZ series
 

I have just purchased a Sun EZ Sport CX for myself and am looking for a Bent for my wife. I note there are several other versions of Sun EZ series including the Rider AX, the Rider CX and the EZ -1 AX. Can anyone provide me with the differences between these? I can see the spec differences, but that really does not tell me anything. We live in a very small town in Northeast Texas and there is no bike shop within 200 miles who knows anything about bents. I worry some that my Sport CX may be to big for my wife. A friend has an EZ -1 that seems better suited. What about the Rider series?

EZ1 CX: Hiten steel, 20/16" wheels, compact style bent
EZ1 AX: Same w/alum frame
EZ Sport CX: 26/20 Cromo frame long wheelbase style bent with curved tube "cruiser" frame
EZ Sport AX: Same w/alum frame
EZ Rider: 20/20" wheels long wheelbase with rear suspension, not currently produced, but was available in steel and alum.

All were designed by the late Gardner Martin of Easy Racers, built by Sun, and are distributed by J&B Importers (wholesale) making them readily available to almost any bike shop.

20/16 wheels are more compact, accelerate faster. 26/20 ride smoother, hold speed better. Alum models are a few pounds lighter, but have a stiffer ride. See sidebar at: http://recumbentcyclist.blogspot.com for an EZ1 review.

Thanks for the info CruiserBob, this is just the kind of comparison I am looking for. It confirms my current thinking that I should get my wife a EZ1.
