I haul either of my trikes using the 3 bike folding Hollywood rack.
Best rack for the buck that I've ever found.

I was checking out the hpvelotechnik scorpion mentioned earlier. That looks interesting with the suspension system. How efficient would that be with a 260lbs rider?

Something like that ought to work well for a single-rider trike, too. Make sure you take extra steps to protect the paint on the car, if it's being leased...

I'm 6'3", 240 lbs. and have a 2011 Catrike Villager that is very comfortable. Unfortunately, not riding as much as I thought I would. Does anyone know the best place on the web to advertise for sale?

@ jmf04 "Does anyone know the best place on the web to advertise for sale?"

here: http://www.bentrideronline.com/messageboard/index.php on the classifieds thread. Be specific about where you live and how you want to do the deal and post pics....it will find a happy home fast!! Good luck!

I don't own a recumbent bike, but several diamond frames, road, touring and mountain bikes. I have been thinking of a recumbent. What is the advantage/disadvantage of a trike over a 2 wheel recumbent?

Basically, the main advantage is that you can't fall over, no matter how slow you're going.

And here we have two folks in the last week or two resurrecting a five-years-sleeping Zombie thread to post questions that would be better served by a new thread.
Not meaning to be critical but go ahead and start a new thread with a title that communicates what it is that you would like to know. No extra charge for starting a thread!

I agree with responses by pick and BP.

Was that pic taken at Imperial Dunes? HA! I just noticed the date of the post! Thanks JanMM.....I won't be expecting an answer for a couple of years I guess:lol:

I agree, in this case the old thread didn't have much to do with tdbmd's question, and the better choice would have been a new thread. Sometimes we tow a fine line with newbies, expecting them to do thread searches before asking what to us is a repetitive question, but complaining about zombie threads.

I guess that we could say that new threads are almost always OK, except to raise a topic that's still on the front page in another thread!

tdbmd 03-27-12 12:09 PM

Wow, sorry JanMM! Guess I didn't spend enough time looking at the dates when I saw a thread at the top of the list.

JanMM 03-27-12 07:49 PM

I've been fooled by Zombie Threads, too. :D

(I'd reply that I was at fault for adding to "re animating" the Zombie...but, that would just give more life to it....sigh.)
