The Kojaks are fast. Not as fast as the Contis which they replaced, but close. The Kojaks grip the corners very well and "feel" better than the Contis which I imagine has something to do with tire width and pressure. I only have a couple hundred miles on the Kojaks so I cannot give a good assesment on their durability, but I have hit a couple potholes and glass puddles without incidence.

I have the 406 Kojaks on my Taifun. No complaints so far. They roll well, are comfortable and seem to grip well. I haven't been unsatisfied with any Schwalbe tires I've used to date.

TW - did you replace the Marathon Racers with either Conti's or Kojak's, and if so, how did they compare to the Racers? I have about 1700 miles on my Racers, with at least that much left on them, or so it seems.

Tourezrick - I have never owned Marathon Racers. My Scorpion came with Marathon Slicks and I loved those tires. I had Contis before I bought the Kojacks and they were a really great tire. I wanted a wider tires for touring and the 1.35 Kojacks are almost as fast as the Contis. I just returned from a couple hundred mile trip today with the Kojacks and they performed without incidence. The trip was pretty much dry pavement; managed to miss the rain and only rode a few miles on gravel.
