Dang you blazingpedals!

I'm blaming my DNF in the 1 hour stock class race this weekend on you! Since you didn't root exclusively for me, I blew a spoke at the 34 minute mark.

Wish you could have stayed longer my friend - would have liked to do more catching up, but it was nice seeing you in Xenia.

Oh and lowracer1, incidentally, I was riding a m5 highracer instead of their fast lowracer and I beat several nocoms in the 1-lap drag race. I lost to Dennis Grelk on his Gritters lowracer and finished only .1 second behing Bill "the Cannon" Hannon on his Nocom! Where were you?

Dang, and nobody had a spare wheel? It was good to see everyone there at Xenia. It would have been hard to root for anyone in particular, as you, 'Hannon the Cannon,' and several other of the Ohio Lowracers group were all there. At least I was rooting for you in the trike 10-lap race! That M5 highracer was quite the bike. I think I want one, although that one's seat was a bit too small for me. I agree with Garry's assessment that it'll appeal mostly to lowracer riders who will want one for riding with friends on uprights. It really does feel like a lowracer but taller.

I got back to Columbus just in time for my son to give the 'grand tour' of his research area at OSU. (Son is starting a PHD in materials science and is working as a researcher to help pay for the degree.)

Not too many bents with a 700cc front wheel

It all worked out though. It was a fantastic time - I wrote a detailed report in my blog on myspace:

Didn't you lose to Jeff Hunn on his trike in the drags. Grasshopper ended up in the final against Dennis in his streamliner.
No surprise he lost.

Shhhh! I'm bragging here! No need to spoil it. Jeff served me up a cold dish of revenge after pushing him out of the way to get 2nd place in the trike race on Saturday. My quads were completely fried after the half hour technical race on Sunday, and I only barely held it together for the 5 lap dinky trike race afterwards, and my muscles were blown by the time the drags came around. That's the big thing that amazes me about Dennis. He not only wins, he does it race after race after race. I just can't quite get that many max efforts done in two days time!

Of course, I was also a little smug thinking I had it easy on a trike. Next time I'll ask for a holder! Live and learn.
