BikeE parts
The little chain that runs the internal hub on my BikeE has broken. The hub is a Sachs 3X7. Now Sachs has been bought out by SRAM and they are not supporting the old Sachs hub. Does anyone know where I can find a chain or fabricate something that will work? Does anyone have an old Sachs 3X7 laying around for sale?

Thanks Larry-
My LBS (not a recumbent dealer) told me the part was "impossible" to find. I picked up the phone and called the shop I bought the bike from in Texas, and voilla, shipped overnight to my door. Next time I'll go the extra 40 miles and take the bike to a recumbent dealer shop for repairs.

Sram still has parts for the older 3x7 hub, I've asked the rep that comes into our shop for for some parts and had them the next week. The hubs are so much fun to take apart....

RE: One of the recumbent riders that we meet today told us that Bike E has gone out of business and there were some really great deals out there.
Dont know how long ago this happened.

August 28, 2002 was the official day, I believe, then the sales manager and president sold off the remainder of the inventory on ebay during the winter. Some really great offerings, but its all gone now. Alot of the principles and staff were hired later By Bigha a new high CLWB bent/adventure company started by a former investure of Bikee. The Bigha is reviewed this month over on B.R.O.L.
