advice on selling a 'bent

I know we can't post "for sale" here, so I won't.

But I need some advice. I'm selling my 'bent, and besides the classifieds here, Craigslist, ebay, what are some good places to post?

Also, would appreciate a little help with valuation and shipping concerns.

Pix and details on my blog, would you guys mind critiquing and asking buyer-type questions so I can describe it fairly?

Thanks
Creak

I've had good luck selling 'bent stuff (no bikes - yet) on bentrideronline.com. (and BF does have classifieds too)

Both recumbents.com, hostelshoppe.com, and easyracers.com have "for sale" areas.

What are you selling? I've been shopping around for an XL Gold Rush... which are pretty rare, apparently.

There is a classified section at bentrideronline.com.

Check into your local bike shops that may have for sale boards. I have no idea what your R32 is worth but I did find a year old posting for a 2001 R32 for $600 USD at http://www.bentrideronline.com/messa...p/t-26278.html

You also may want to stick at least a preliminary price up. Your post is already indexed on google.

Just a general comment- one fault I see in a lot of ads is the sellers assume that all potential buyers know as much about cycling as they do, and that's not the case. If you're pretty expert in the bike world, then just a list of components is informative, but may be meaningless to a lot of potential customers. Why would anybody ride a recumbent instead of a regular bike? Why would you want one kind of steering versus the other? Is SWB better than LWB? Those things may be obvious to you, but not to your buyers. Tell 'em why it's good, too.
