Recumbent What IS that thing?! Recumbents may be odd looking, but they have many advantages over a "wedgie" bicycle. Discuss the in's and out's recumbent lifestyle in the recumbent forum.

Bents in the hood

I got so excited yesterday morning. We were driving down Ridge Rd. in Marcus Hook, PA to pick up my youngest daughter's boyfriend for church. What do you think I spotted coming toward us? Not 1, not 2, but 3 guys on recumbents. Keep in mind that I've never seen a recumbent in our general area other than mine, except for the MS 150 ride. We passed them too quickly to tell what kind of bents they were, but the 1st was a SWB of some kind and the second was a red or orange recumbent tandem. If I'd been alone I'd have stopped to talk to them as they were getting ready to stop at the gas station, I think. Was this any of you guys?

Wasn't me, I was riding my scooter off-road yesterday, but my SO and I frequently go out and ride our recumbents in Valley Forge, Pokeomen Trail, Sckulkill Trails, Manayunk.. all the way into the Art Museum.
