EZ 1 Seat Attachment

I picked up a TEC last weekend, and they had a EZ 1 Seat on it. I do not like how they attached it ( drilled screws to top of square pipe. Does anyone have any pics as to how they orginally attached it to their factory bike. I am open to suggestions in how to attach it properly. The homebuilder welded an another square tube to the top of the toptube, and it has a few small holes in it for where they screwed it together, none of the screws went throught to the other side. I will post pic of just the frame later today. Wife has me steam cleaning the carpets ( yaaaah )
