3 snow tires, or less?

Hi folks,

I'm thinking my recumbent trike (ICE T for those keeping score) would be an ideal winter commuter, as it would be way less vulnerable to ice. Along those lines, I'm wondering whether one needs snow tires at all three points, or if it might make sense to just put them on the fronts, since that's where all the braking in. Would make starting harder, of course . . .

What do you think? What's the best snow tire, regardless?
