homebuilt highracer

hi, this is a continuation from the pictures thread.
yeah, this is my homebuilt highracer, "ori-bental"
standard muffler pipe main frame, welded rear triangle and steer tube.
ali bottom bracket bolted on with road bike chainrings, and a megarange cassette. does the business for now.
plywood and foam seat.
ali seat post for fork post extension.
and if you can just make it out, an oriental script paintjob. oh, and my "paintjob" too
had 36mph downhill, which is not bad considering our island speed limit is 40!
total of 400+ miles so far, without any major probs.
all told, £156 or $260
so, watcha think?

Looks good enough that I could ask...when are you going into production?
Great job and the color is #1.
Glad you are enjoying.

Great first effort! (I'm sure there will be more to follow.) The weight distribution looks spot-on to me. How's the steering feel? Between the steep head tube and the fork rake, it looks like there's almost no trail.

bike handles really well. i must admit i was a little confused about rake so just eyed it off pictures on the web.
plenty of hills here in jersey, but i can manage all but the steepest.
starting on a lowracer baron type bent next.
and really wanna do some touring in france. jersey is just a bit smaller than disneyland! (we are about 45 square miles, i think disney is about 48), so i know whats coming round every corner. but beautiful just the same.

I am impressed. Can you haul stuff with it?
