New tires - what to do with take off slicks?
Hi!
After riding our new Greenspeed GT5 Series II trikes for 150 miles and having a couple of flats on the factory installed Scorcher slicks (not kevlar!), we decided to have Schwalbe-Marathon Plus tires installed to avoid any future flats. Due to a bad back, I hate to have to bend down to repair tires!
I asked the bike shop if they'd buy them back, I offered them all 6 for $75, but they declined. Now we have 6 - Scorcher 16x1.5 tires that have only 150 miles of use! Any suggestions of what to do with the like new take-offs?
Thanks!

List them on Craigslist for local sale, in the Classifieds section of BentRider Online LINK, and/or eBay (if you have not used eBay before, see if there is a local store whose business is selling items on eBay for people). If any local bike store has a "for sale" bulletin board in the store, post them there. Any local bike clubs with a for sale section on their web site?
You may want to keep one or two tires for emergency use.
Edit: Since you are in Wisconsin, Hostel Shoppe also has a free Classifieds listing LINK.

Try listing them in the for sale section of Bentrider Online. https://www.bentrideronline.com/messageboard/index.php

Heh! A looong time ago, I had a look at the local shop's book. Tires had about a 8-10x markup. If that's still the case, the shop could get new ones for less than your offer.
