New to all of this

Hello everyone.....

A little about me Several years ago i hit a top weight of almost 700 pounds

well over the years and due to a little sickness from a mosquito.... i lost close to 100 pounds.

My legs finally started to give out on me about a year ago....so with alot of hard work and dieting im not down to a little over 400 pounds...420 to be exact as of a Drs. visit just a couple weeks ago...

well with my new added mobility id love to really kick the weight loss into gear and start bikeing...... but ive never learned how to ride a normal bicycle so im wanting to start with a recumbent of some sort......been looking at the pav3.....but also have seen the shortcomeings of such bike with the limited gearing and whatnot.......would would be the best trike for a new person into this for someone of my weight? and something i could grow into after some time.....

my uncle is also an advid rucumbent bike rider so i have him to ride with as well....

thanks for any help of sugestions

Sun makes a trike with a 400 pound wt. limit: http://www.sunbicycles.com/product_d...&cl1=RECUMBENT
Not aware of any bicycles rated for 400 pounds. Are you considering a trike now, and perhaps a bike later, after more weight loss? More choices in trikes or bikes when you weigh less.

Check out Lightfoot Cycles. The Ranger can be made to support your weight. I have a Ranger and love the bike.
