DEALERS - Any trike dealers in Southern California ??

I want to test ride a trike.

Are there any recommended dealers in the Orange County, LA County area? Think there was one in Santa Ana - but a blip said the store was for sale. Great Recession?

I am wintering in Newport Beach with my mountain bike. I see the trikies on the Santa Ana River Trail and think that I might like that. Have no idea how to carry one with the other gear in the van when we migrate to the San Juans in the summer. The FS mountain bike fits in nicely. Still, I want to test ride a trike, or two, or three.

Bent Up Cycles in LA comes to mind.

You might also want to talk with some of the riders you see on the trail. Recumbent riders tend to be a pretty cordial bunch.

I wondered about how to transport a trike until I had a folding model demonstrated for me at a recumbent rally.

After we got home, My wife and I drove her Saturn SL1 (compact car) to a local shop. I told them that, if they could demonstrate to my wife how she could fold a Greenspeed GT3 tadpole trike and fit it into her trunk, we'd buy it. They did and we did.

Think there is a trike shop called People Movers located in Orange CA. Not far from Newport Beach

That might work. A Google search turned out to be rather thin. Utah Trikes - but that's a long way off.

I think you mean People Movers: https://recumbent.com/storehours.htm . Call them up and see if they're still there.

PeopleMovers in Orange was for sale a year or two ago. I went there once and wasn't impressed. I think the drive to Van Nuys would be worth it, even if PM is still in business.

I saw that For Sale blip - but I sent them a mail and we shall see. Where is Utah Trikes when you need them. (Yes, Payson, UT).
