Recumbent What IS that thing?! Recumbents may be odd looking, but they have many advantages over a "wedgie" bicycle. Discuss the in's and out's recumbent lifestyle in the recumbent forum.

All the bike mechanics I've dealt with have been excited to work on my bents... I think it provides them something new and different from the usual stuff they work on everyday.

My favourite mech works with another reputable mech who has a reputation for fixing the unfixable, including bents.

The last time my trike was in the shop, my fav mech reportedly pointed it out to Mr Fix-All and said "see, I can work on recumbents too, except I work on high end stuff".

I LOLed

when I worked in shops we never saw many 'Bents. one shop had a few Bike E (?) I think. I do recall at one place we got a nice old shcool 'Bent in for repair and few us really went nuts for it. it was the style with a large rear wheela nd smaller from and the handlebars under the seat.

personally I don't think I would own one, except for the old school type like a Vanguard (yeah keep wishing but I just got a curly Hetchins so...) but as for selling repair parts or repairing one money is money and I always like a challenging repair!

sport wheelchairs are something alot of guys hate but again it can be very rewarding to help someone with an issue with one.
