Bacchetta on a Saris Bones Rack?

Has anyone tried a Bacchetta giro on a Saris bones rack? I am interested in the bike and am hoping that it will fit with my existing rack.

Looks like a pretty good fit, keep an eye on the rear wheel

thanks for the pic...I bought my Bacchetta last October and have been meaning to try it out on my old saris bones rack I bought back in 97...keep forgetting to pull it out of my storage unit at Uhaul...

Has anyone tried shifting the rack off center so the bicycle wheels are more centered and less obnoxiously sticking out on the left side? Or is there a danger to having the rack off center?

Hmm... I'm about to buy a Bacch Strada. I was hoping to use my saris bones to transport it. I might try it off center on the trunk.

What if you took off the seat and just moved the bike further to the right?

I have the Saris Bones 2 rack and I've just put my Terratrike Cruiser on it. I'm a bit concerned but it fits as long as I tip the trike up and place the "arms" of the wheel base on the rack. I've secured it with some rope running through the trunk of my Honda Civic and all looks good. The first drive to the lake tomorrow is going to have me watching closely.

Here's what my Strada looks like on my Saris bones...Attachment 201190

The front of the bike does not stick out as much as it appears too. I strap the front fork to the rack and the handlebar to the frame.
