highracer tailbox

i have put my tailbox from my lowracer, onto my highracer...and it fits a treat !
nice and secure, gonna try my usual hill later, see what improvements there are !
but moreso, its for storage, i wanna do a three day trip to france at the weekend, 200+ miles, so my small amount of gear fits in there nicely !

I`ll say- looks like it was born on the highracer. Are the top and bottom portions on the same frame or two separate boxes? What kind of mounting system does it use?

if you jump forward two pics, you will see the racks i use.
cut down and narrowed, bolt up thru box, and for the highracer, bolted thru seat too.
and a velcro strap at base of spine level, under seat pad.
as the highracer seat angle is more or less the same as my lowracer, it fits well !

there are two sections, if you look back thru my pics, you will see just a flat lid on main box, then i cut up another box, and made the top section, to act as lightweight storage and lid combined.
just cable tie hinged, and elastic loop to secure...all high tech round her ya know !

ok, so on my `benchmark, downhill spinout`....i got 2mph faster than i've had before !
hit 40 mph !

5% improvement from a single mod is killer- good job :thumb:
But if you`d had a spiral painted dish on the back, maybe 6.5% :lol: You`re still pedalling at 40 MPH?

lol...maybe, but i have my sexy minamal spoke wheel on this one, so i wanna show it off !!
