Windcheetah HPV

Does anyone have experience or knowledge with the Windcheetah tadpole recumbent from England. My wife just brought one that was being sold on consignment at our LBS. It is a work of art with a joy stick for steering but I concerned about parts and maintenance. Mind you it is a bit late as she took for a spin around the block and that was that, she was sold. Drives me nuts as I like to research before doing buying. They have a good website but not sure if it is current as the last time it was up dated was 2009. Any thoughts or input would be appreciated.
cheers

You will find considerable information at BentRider Online. Much of it is a combination of satisfaction with the Windcheetah and utter dismay at the manufacturer's inattention to support after the sale. This gives you a promising new career as your wife's trike mechanic.

Go to the posting in this section with the title [B]"Windcheetah has gone bankrupt?[/B"] It is near the bottom of this page and was started on 11-15-2011. The last posting in that one gives the phone number where you can reach Windcheetah. The answer of course is no, it hasn't gone bankrupt.

One person in my club has a Windcheetah Club, and it's a pretty cool machine, probably the fastest trike (unfaired) I've seen. But responses from the MFG can be glacially slow.

Thanks guys I do appreciate your comments. I feel a bit better knowing that I might actually be able to contact Windcheetah if I have to providing I am not in a hurry.

cheers

I have a Windcheetah Club Sport. It is a lovely performance trike and a work of art craftsmenship. However, it is not a good company to deal with be because of poor business practices. A much better alternative would be a Catrike.

Al - Looks like we might want to put off the test ride what with the 6 inches of snow on the ground.

Am looking forward to being the team mechanic for this machine.

Heck no Sixty Fiver, going to put studs in the tires and send the lady Linda and tell her to keep away from the 12+ inch drifts. She can't wait.

Wouldn't that be an exciting ride? Skis on the front and no brakes!

Much to the dismay of many ADV Wincheetah is still alive in business and very much a success!
Contact myself of Bob if you require any spares or service.

Hi Karl
Great to hear from you. My wife just picked up #742, that was being sold on consignment at our lbs. She absolutely fell in love with it and can't wait for the snow and ice to leave, as mentioned above by Sixty Fiver. I just got it home today. I am sure that by the time summer is out you will be hearing either from her or myself for some spares. Thank you again for your post.

cheers
