Blue Bike

I bought myself a blue bike. Is a blue bike a fast bike?

Mine isn't necessarily fast - but your blue version looks damn fast to me.

Edit - one blue deserves another blue

Yes. Blue bikes are fast bikes. It looks like you could get pulled over and given a speeding ticket on that thing.

your blue bike will be faster than mine because it is a more vibrant blue.

That is the question, isn't it?? Is the engine any good?? A Ferrari is only fast if the driver can efficiently shift it correctly... It is a sweet ride you added to the stable, though!!!

Take bail money with you when you ride. That thing looks so fast that you might get a speeding ticket while just sitting on it stopped.

I don't anticipate shifting to be much of a problem. However I'm quite certain the engine would very much benefit from a thorough tune up.

Beautiful!

Once you get that engine tuned you may want to ask a stationary observer with a really good eye to check for blue/red color shifts as you approach and recede.

Looks pretty fast. It would have been faster if it had been red, but some of us aren't made to ride communist bikes.

Pheh - you can do the math. The 300-km on Saturday took me just over 14.5 hours to complete. That's barely 13 mph. Moving speed was actually 15.3 mph fwiw.......

For the record, I love your Baron and this is one of my favorite blogs.

What is that? It's gorgeous.

Second...where can I get one? (I probably don't want to know how much it costs....)

That MBB FWD is definitely a Morciglio bike, a HammerHead I think. John will make you one for a paltry sum roughly similar to the cost of a CA2. That sure is a pretty blue! John's on BentriderOnline, but if you're serious and can't find his addy, I think I can come up with it.

Chickenlipz, I'd say that blue bike is fairly fast. Are you doing any riding with Akigreg?

I pretty much do all my riding solo. I did run across his 'bent group on the Trinity Trails a good while back, and joined in. Maybe I'll catch up with them again sometime.

Yup, my blue bike is from John Morciglio. Custom builder in Michigan. This was one of only two Front Wheel Drive models that he's made, and probably the last. He says it's more complex to fabricate and fewer people like FWD.

I love the bike, though...
