Burley Limbo?

My primary LBS has a couple of used bents for sale- most of their used bikes are generally consignment and this is probably the case for these bents as well. Here's a link to the site- http://tomsbicycles.com/?page_id=1468.

My question is if any knows if that seat will slide fore/aft any? I'm 6' and I've got no idea of the size.

No way I can even attempt to swing the Tour Easy, but the Burley is a 'maybe', depending on if I can work out any kind of deal and I would have to sell my hybrid as 'seed' money.

I think the seat adjusts back and forth on a track. Ask the Bicycle Man for more info:

Yes, unless it is broken, the seat fore/aft position is adjustable - it should move along the shiny steel (?) rail seen on top of the main tube under the seat.
Wondering why there doesn't appear to be a shock absorber/suspension piece under the seat?

Maybe the previous/current owner removed the shock in an effort to make it a better climber? Dunno, but I'll be in town on Friday and will try to swing by the LBS to take a look at it. I would see if it fit my wife as well, but she's already let it be known she'll only entertain the idea of a delta trike for herself.

How far do you want to go? One of our OHPV folks is thinking of parting with a tricked-out Kettwiesel, located here in Portland, Oregon: http://www.ohpv.org/forums/index.php?topic=1350.0

Be careful on this one. Over a year ago I bought a used Limbo that had a bad shock, thinking I might just "fix" it like this. In the process of my research, I found tales from owners who tried that and busted the frame mounts for the shocks. Apparently the stress of a fixed link at that point surpass the frame's engineering. I ended up installing a better quality shock. Finding the ride shock was a education in itself, learning about leverage ratio, damping rates, etc. And after all that, I still ended up selling it because the seat height was just a little beyond what I could live with...I'm a short feller.
I will say that Burley made some very fine recumbents, and you can often find them at about the price this one is selling for. You have to diddle a bit to get the seat angle just right, then ride your heart out! (I got a Burley Canto after I sold the Limbo.)

I'd pass on that burley,,$600,,,
That seat and the bottom angle,
the complexity of the steering,

This endeavor was a dicey proposition to begin with, but based upon the feedback it is now officially a no go. Maybe one of these days...

Geez. They got the TE priced at what I paid for a new one. Looks like it's got that worthless, complicated S idler that came on mine.

The Disk brake is great.

I paid $1,000 for this one,,Its an LE,,like new, original front tire, went to a faster rear tire for more speed and I got it.
