My NoCom has been on the work bench all year, getting some much-needed body work done -- covering up some ugly patches and fixing the front end which had to be mercilessly ground down to fit me. I'm sure there'll be an update in the spring, but here's what it looks like for now:

Looks shiny and fast, and with the coming of the Cold and Dark Months, you'll have plenty of time to make it shinier and faster.

Well, "shinier" at least. And hopefully faster *looking* too.

I think I'll get in a few more weekends' worth of riding before it comes indoors again.

Nice job on the Rocket clone! That seat looks better than the old RANS bucket seats that came on the original square-tube Rockets.

My Bacchetta Giro 20 ATT which will soon be on the market. Replaced by a "Logo" Lightening P-38, a locally made copy.

Awesome picture.

Two things. Where was this taken, and why did you replace the Bacchetta, and was it a good choice?

I guess that was three things.

Thanks. The photo was taken along the coast in Woodman Point Regional Park in Western Australia. Not the best beaches on our metro coast but a nice ride for me as I live in Fremantle (former home of the America's Cup ). I still have the Bacchetta Giro 20 ATT but it is going to go on the market after Christmas. The bike is fine but just not really for me. I was struggling to get the best out of it; I was not getting into the even semi-reclined riding position and I was struggling on the sand dunes I have to ride to and from work.

The P-38 clone on the other hand is really working much better for me ... not perfect but a lot better for me than the Giro is. I am enjoying riding it, I find it much easier to start at traffic lights, to handle at faster speeds and generally more stable across the range. I am also finding it easier to climb with and I am better into the wind (critical here due to our infamous Fremantle Doctor). I just like getting on it and riding which is important as I have lost some of my interest in riding this year; I am even starting to feel like it is a bike that I would be happy to jump on for the quick ride to the local shops as opposed to walking or driving. None of my bikes have encouraged me to do that and I have often thought of buying a cheap single speed for that purpose; maybe now I will not need to.

Maybe down the track I might have another go at a more reclined SWB but for now this is the way I am enjoying riding.

Regards
Andrew

Looks very nice.....does LoGo have an arrangement with Lightning to make their version of a P-38?

I believe it was a one-off bike and LoGo Trikes are now out of business as well.

just got this on Friday. Had some mechanical issues yesterday on it's initial ride. It was really nice to not be riding exposed to 30* weather.

Here's my homemade...thing.

The chainstays are cut from an old set of forks and that is a pulley from a Thunderbird fanbelt.

Looks very much like a LWB recumbent thing. Does the steering linkage work well?

Actually the steering works very well, pretty east to control. What doesn't work very well is the derailleurs. Front is useless and I only have maybe 4 gears in the rear. Gotta get on that. Also no front brakes other than flintstone style feet dragging lol. Rear brake is mediocre at best.

But what do I expect for ~$100 investment?

I'd really like to try the HP Velotechnik Grasshopper FX.

After I did a good fifty miles of good hard break-in braking I Re-adjusted my BB7 rear on my tour easy. I can lock it but I don't, Plenty of brake power.

If I grab front and rear I gotta get my feet down real fast, Using Both brakes stops me way too fast...

Lindyfd, the front will probably shift better if you adjust the derailleur properly. There should be about 1mm vertically between the cage and the big ring.
