Test ride...DONE! Time to order!

Drove 3.5 hours up to Vienna, VA to test ride a Giro 20. I've never ridden a bent before.

I was bit wobbly, but managed to make it down the W&OD Trail and back without crashing, hitting anyone, or making a fool of myself. OK...I may have looked stupid a couple of times

I loved it and am going to order my bike tomorrow morning!

BIG thanks to Tim, Becky, and the staff at Bikes at Vienna for letting me come test ride! I truly appreciate their help!

Love my Bacchetta.

Welcome to the bent family,

Dont feel bad about saying the bent felt "wobbly" or what I call nervious. It is pretty much the feeling all of us had the first time we rode a bent. In a couple or three rides, or maybe 50 miles, it goes away, and you will forget all about it. What happens is you unconsciously learn to "micro steer" rather that lean as you do on a DF bike.

Just got off the phone with Jeremy at Bacchetta placing my order.

Because it would have meant another 7 hour round trip from home to go get the bike.

I sure they would have shipped it.

If you're worried about me being a dick and going around the dealer that I test rode at, not to worry...it's all good with them.

Glad to hear that. You know, this sort of thing happens a lot, and sometimes the people doing it don't even realize it's not too cool until someone gets the person to think about it for a second.

Peace.

You'r gonna love the Giro20. Get the Brain Bag or whatever that trunk thingie is called. It's wonderful. Not much weight and you can carry a lot of stuff if you need to.
