hi all. i'm dillweed, the guy with the camera and goofy green hat on the
last ride. i will post some of the pics i took soon.
did any of you witness the "accident" with the extremely aggressive driver
that intentionally plowed through the cyclists here?
https://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=e...03583&t=h&om=1
there was some damage to my bike that i have yet to have estimated. i would
like to hear from anyone else who was either physically hit or who are
willing to give their number as a witness on my report. i have pictures of
the car and license plate. ; )

i linked them so i'm not cluttering up everything with reposting, but if for whatever reason you can't see either, i'll repost what i said here.

ok so that g-ped thing is of because doesn't include the miles of laps I did around Harvard sq (4 laps)..
also, once U-lock justice begins it tends to be the only form of justice yo get, that's why you gotta make it worth while.. I can tell you that the damage to that guys van was FAR (in the thousands, no doubt) more than the damage to dilweeds bike....

I once saw a rear window get busted out on a CM ride. And another time, I witnessed a hit and run (angry, aggressive driver). The case made it to Judge Judy because somebody'd videotaped the incident. On the tape, you can hear me trying to calm the lady ("calm down, you're going to hurt somebody") but apparently our attempts at diffusing the situation got interpreted by JJ as heckling the lady. Still, she sided with the cyclist.
What happened on this ride? There's a reason I only ride in CM for the first 20 mins or so.

The drivers were especially angry during this CM. I took off long before Dillweed's bike was run over, but there were all sorts of confrontations and near misses.

Hmmmm, now I'm curious to hear some stories from Crit Mass. I left after the ride returned to Copley. I had seen somebody maybe have their tire brushed by a small car on Columbus, but saw nothing with a van being damaged or a bike getting run over.

van damage occurred in Harvard sq. the drive was upset about the traffic being block and push and few riders a few times, one nudge was pretty hard and bent the someone's wheel, then locks started flying...

last week's was probably the most incident-filled critical mass i've been to since i moved to boston a year ago. besides the thing with dillweed on tremont (which i saw most of -- the dudes in the car nearly mowed down about 6 people), the couple in the audi in harvard square were pretty insane. in my pictures the woman looks bizarrely happy; but actually, she spent a good 2-3 minutes arguing vehemently that it was okay for her husband or whatever to keep the car moving forward right into someone stopped in front, merely because they had the right of way. i guess they'd feel the same if it were a pedestrian or car, huh?

nice pics brandon. the one of that "police" guy about to get out of his car is ******** hilarious; and the derrangement on the audi lady's face is great.
i also love the one of everyone on newbury st with the BPD car going the oppostie way and not doing anything.
