if you dont want this thread moved to the "Regional" section, shoot 165 a pm and let him know why (see the sticky). for me it was the idea that a lot of the people who have found this thread and subsequently have come out riding with us would not have done so (myself included) had it been in Regional.

you should also express your distatste for the fact that none of the regions include DC!! it's bad enough we don't get any representation in congress.

seriously though, 165 seems like he's willing to listen to reason, so be nice.

Not a damn clue. My normal after work ride was through rock creek, but now that it gets dark so early I haven't been up for it.

I hear that, my Bethesda/Rock Creek run is getting intimidating. Recently, I've been doing Haines Point until I'm dizzy.

take 14th street down to the mall. cut over to 15th (it's one way up by where you are or i'd say take that the whole way). 15th takes you down around the reflecting pool and turn left into east potomac park. watch out for cars as you make that left turn, they ARE trying to hit you.

EDIT: there's no sign for east (west?) potomac park. after going through the light you go right at a fork, then its your first left turn.
