The thing I'm most interested in with Mash is how that first really tall guy makes 90 degree turns while going really fast.

I pre-rode part of the Tour of Flanders course this week. They started painting the new markers some time this week. The section up to Council Crest seems to be the same.
FWIW, the markers are a lot easier to see this year than last. Anyone interested might be able to make a solo attempt after the fact. Death, here I come. |

Kinda lame Mash is coming here so far after its release. But it may be fun to venture out to see what happens.
Need to get in a couple more hill climbs before the De Ronde, but im not too worried. I went up to Council Crest last Friday, and did Mt Scott the weekend prior. |
there's a community forum up at www.pdxfixed.com now!

we didn't really tell anyone and then the day we were gonna do it popped up and we realized that no one really knew it was happening (it's not really a huge thing) so we're doing it thursday, for fun, for whoever wants to come. |

but maybe you knew that cos a long ass ride on friday would be about enough for the next few days |
why don't you move it to the weekend? thursday during work/school time seems like an odd time for a race, if you are wanting people to come.

the hills coming out of brownsville are a ***** on fixed if you pass through there... that's the farthest i got from eugene, 60 mile there and back ride... http://www.bikely.com/maps/bike-path...t-Valley-Route is my route. still don't know if i'd want to do it portland to eugene or eugene to portland. |

a bit different from my route.
well, once you get to brownsville it's a cool little historic town, some old school taverns and nice buildings/wild west slant. coburg is a tiny town but once you're there you're pretty much in eugene, decent place to refeul if you're dying. and eugene, well it's my 2nd home for better or worse. don't get hit by the fratties riding mtn. bikes the wrong way through the bike lane! |
ill be at justins race tomorow if its not raining or anything. it looks like fun. and iv been trying to get the word around that if portland massacre gets rained out we are going to just hold it under the bridge where its dry and switch up some of the events and it will still be a total blast so dont be discouraged to come because of the rain
|
suhweeet.
forecast on weather.com predicts rain/snow mix tonight, same with tmrw morning though, what the ****? then again they've been pretty off as far as getting accurate forecasts out lately, it was "supposed" to be raining all day and instead we got some sunshine in the afternoon. i don't know if anyone rode today, but the wind was horrid sometime around 3pm. i almost got blown off the burnside bridge. |
yeah i rode today it was pretty windy but i actually had a good time. especially when the sun would peak out for a bit. anyone see the rainbow yesterday? pretty awesome.
