this bike stays in eugene. it's my beater for long road rides, rain commutes, hopping curbs and hitting potholes... and of course drunken footdown. basically it sees every type of riding, hell i even bombed a bumpy offroad hill on it today...

this bike lives in portland and i built it for speed. it's for track, riding the street on sunny days, just general pleasure rides i guess. love the track drops in alleycats as well. too damn flashy and expensive to bash in games of footdown though.
by the summer i'll have probably sold off both frames though.

hey, guess who's not going to go on that ****ty hill climb! tehe!!
i remember last years movies of roadies in full kit, running alongside their bikes up hills as if they were soldiers retreating from an enemy. and some guy on a fix with a 2x1 (or lower?) ratio ended up killing it fron what i hear.

I found the ghettrodrome the other day while I was riding mt. tabor on my road bike. Just a small oval part of the loop road that goes around a little picnic/statue area at the summit. I think it's usually closed to cars.

Yeah, I was curious about that too. Maybe foot down and skidding under the hawthorne, then move to tabor?
Top of tabor would be perfect for a ghettodrome other than having to make sure no kids/families got on the make shift track. But it does make sense since there was some kind of a downhill event mentioned, Tabor would be fun to bomb with other riders.
As for the Recyclery Q above. They may, but I would call first. If they dont then call RCB or Veloce on the east side too.

If anyone's gonna be down in Eugene, there's two races going down April 4-6 weekend and I'm trying to organize some sort of event around match sprints after that.

I pre-rode part of the Tour of Flanders course this week. They started painting the new markers some time this week. The section up to Council Crest seems to be the same.
FWIW, the markers are a lot easier to see this year than last. Anyone interested might be able to make a solo attempt after the fact.
