philly sprints
I know I mentioned it in the philly thread but I thought it'd be good to post it here. Since it's warm out I'm wondering how many people would be down for a (weekly?, monthly? one time?) sprint contest.
Pretty simple, everyone picks a number at random, races, you advance until there's one person left. Maybe $2-3 entry fee and the winner gets to keep it all.
as for places so far the most viable ones seem to be the 5th street tunnel or delaware ave since they both seem to be rather empty at night. I know I can get a few people from temple, but just want an overall idea of who would be down for it before I make up flyers/what have you.

even though my attendence would be highly unlikely regardless of the location, i'll add that if theres a south philly contingent, another empty stretch would be down between the stadiums and the highway there are a number of truck loading docks and essentially empty streets (like 3rd st south of packer ave).

What about American St? Wide and usually empty. As long as you avoid the occasional train tracks.
